Do you have fungal nails?
How do I know if I have fungal nails?
You may have noticed changes in the texture, quality and colour of your nails. Typical first signs are a yellow or brown discolouration. Nails can become thick, crumbly/brittle and misshapen or lift from the nail bed.
Fungus is not always to blame for this appearance and this why we require to take a detailed medical history.
We offer a FIVE MINUTE FUNGAL NAIL TEST. Find out immediately if your nail does contain fungal elements or not so we can create the right treatment plan for you.

Lacuna Method for Fungal Nail
Pain free safe treatment
Micro holes are made in the nail plate - antifungal medicine is applied to reach the point of infection
Continued daily application of medicine by yourself
Fungal nail infection (onychomycosis) is the most difficult of the superficial fungal infections to treat, as most topical agents are ineffective at penetrating the nail plate to reach the active infection on the nail bed (the skin under the nail).
By using specially designed micro burrs the Podiatrist will make micro holes in the nail plate, painlessly. Then the anti-fungal treatment will be injected and sprayed directly on to the infected nail bed. The Podiatrist will review your nail growth progress every six weeks over a 6 month period. Between each six week appointments you are required to apply the same spray DAILY onto the nail (the spray will penetrate the holes). At each review further holes will be created if necessary and all foot care needs will be addressed to avoid cross contamination.
This is a relatively new treatment proving very successful in all age groups and offering a cost effective solution to damaged and unsightly nails. It is dependent upon you being COMPLIANT and CONSISTENT between the six week reviews.
